God has flipped a page…..
Like they always say, a beautiful year has ome and gone, and so another one has begun to unfold. As we embrace its warmth and gladly spread our arms to let it into our lives, we still wave dejectedly and say goodbye to the passing one, as its blurred shadow continues to linger on, on the horizon, with its vivid memories clutching on to our hearts like a vast bandage of adhesive. They don’t want to let go. Their company remains a pleasant one, yet we dread some, and dare not let them in into our new path we are taking in the year 2012.
I don’t know about you but 2011 has been a year of mixed feelings, great adventures and so much triumph. In my personal arena, I reached some of the highest pinnacles I hadn’t even planned to reach. I met great people, made awesome friends and accumulated so much knowledge in places I had never dreamt I would set foot. For me, 2011 has certainly been a year of greatness, through bad days and disappointments; it remains a year i am proud of. A year I mapped myself, and took a principal step into an unknown world of trials and tribulations. But I made it through, and came out victorious. I am proud to say… God has flipped a page.
As is I set forth in this New Year, I would wholeheartedly like to take a moment of silence and pay respect to those who didn’t make it. Those unfortunate ones whose life came to a halt in the last few days or hours before the break of dawn in the year 2012. May their souls rest in peace, such that as we remain to assiduously toil this earth we continue forth with the yoke of life through those good times, wide smiles and impending, uncensored suffering.
Today I really don’t have much to say, but simply to be thankful for this life that I have. Fragile as it is, I am looking forward to making the best out of it, and not only leave a simple mark, but a track that can be channeled by many. Many a times we have confined ourselves and cocooned our great minds in this skull casing that resides on our shoulders. A human mind is never a thing to be imprisoned or limited. Its strength, might and capability surpass that of any living creature. Positively nurtured and groomed, we can reach beyond our own imaginations, and be able to touch greatness by the hand and caress its warm body. As human beings we were destined for one thing and one thing alone; Greatness. Let’s not abuse it. Let’s not take advantage of it. Let’s cherish the power we have, and fabricate one another’s growth in the process. No man deserves less, no man deserves more.
